great work
Now see, damnit, this is exactly what makes a man jealous. I demand you stop creating all these works of true excellence and let ALL YOUR SKILLZ ARE BELONG TO US!
Great pic! I'd pay good money if this had a background and was sold as a glossy wall poster. Then again, I'm such a cheap git I'd just thief it from a friend but this is great regardless, such that I would even wish that I had paid money for it.

well...while it's nice, it would be a whole lot better on a darker bg. that gleaming white...it...well...blinds people. besides, it's almost exactly the opposite of what you're trying to achieve. "dark elf" as a title makes people think of, well, honestly, darkness. If you'd layed down a blue color and painted the rest of her OVER the blue bg, it'd probably have worked out a lot better.
second though...DO NOT use white as a higlight color. Unless we're talking about UBERGLARE, it's wrong. White is...unnatural as a light source color. Even sunlight, which we tend to think of as white, isn't, really. it's yellow. or, at best, offwhite. If you vary those color tones, you can get a lot more realism, while still retaining the comic-y feel to your art.
gah. this commentary makes me wish I had more time. I'd show you what I mean on a practise piece. Too bad I don't :\ nyeh.
